- I require a redundant power supply, can Janus II support this?
- Yes we are able to develop a Janus II with a redundant power supply for large exchanges, please call to discuss this. We can also offer a static switch on smaller exchanges. These are available to purchase and will be shipped with your Janus II(s).
- I have confidential data on the hard disks of my old servers, what happens to these in the exchange?
- We understand that in some systems you may well have hard drives that contain sensitive data. If you are in this position please call us to discuss the options available.
- I am running blade centers and this deal does not offer blade centers in return?
- If you are running blade centers that need replacing we have that covered. Our Janus II server range has the same density as most blade centers and with vastly reduced power consumption. Please call for further information.
- I have looked at your offer and I pay less that the suggested electricity rate shown?
- We understand that customers will have various rates negotiated with electricity suppliers. To allow us to offer the server replacement fairly to every customer we have based our figures on a fixed 4 year rate for power from British Gas dated 23/10/2008
- Why do you want my old server back?
- Under the WEEE regulations we are bound to dispose of your old equipment properly, this is an obligation we take seriously.
- What will you do with my old servers?
- All old equipment will be properly recycled under the WEEE initiative or in some cases the parts may be stripped from the server for use by one of our designated remarketing companies.
- If I take up this offer how long after I receive my new Janus II servers do you expect me to return my old servers to you?
- We would normally expect a 90 day turn around for standard server replacements. However to allow ITIL compliant replacements to be completed we understand that a greater time scale is required. Please call to discuss timelines.
- I am adding new servers to my environment what does this offer mean to me?
- Call us to discuss this.
- I need SCSI connects, Fibre channel, more disks etc?
- We understand that for some requirements more resources are needed. Anything above the baseline specification will have a cost as you would expect from any vendor. Please call for details.
- I am running application sets that are not Microsoft Windows Server based?
